Position Description

We are hiring 5 members to be a part of the Club Sport Council for this upcoming 24-25 academic school year.

This position is required to attend bi-weekly meetings and complete additional assignments and tasks as assigned and that are related to your chair position. 

The council will oversee the funding committee, banquet/awards assistance, department wide recruitment help, and overall be the student leaders and advocates of the Club Sport program.

This position reports to the Club Sports Coordinator.

Application is open now for the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 semester! 

Qualifications

• GVSU Student for Fall ‘24 and Winter ‘25 semesters
• Be an active member of a GVSU club sport team
• Holding an E-board position is preferred but not required
• Attending trainings and meetings as required

Responsibilities

• Advise Club Sports staff on trends and concerns that are affecting the entire club sports program
• Act as advocates to other club sports student athletes 
• Oversight of Club Sports Funding Committee
  1. Additional volunteers to supplement
• Program wide support
  1. Club Sports Awards/Banquet
  2. Development opportunities
  3. Recruiting events
• Potential secondary functions
  1. Club sports bonding/all club events

Student Wage Rates:

​​​Each member is paid a stipend of $500 per semester. Appointment is for entire academic year.
