Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential. How do you actively pursue your wellness?
There are many things I do to pursue my wellness and stay on top of my mental heath. Much of what makes me happy involves being active outside, whether it's taking a hike or climbing. I find that when doing these activities I block out other distractions and am able to focus on what I am doing, without the stress of school or others factors.

What do you do to take care of yourself when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed?
When feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I try my hardest to take some time to better myself and work on personal growth. Cooking, climbing, or working out are all ways that help me reduce my stress and focus on myself. Even taking time to relax and watch a show or listen to music/a podcast are small ways that help reduce stress throughout the day. Finding easy things to do that make you happy throughout the day is the best way to reduce stress.

What motivates you to be well and stay healthy?
The best motivator for me is personal performance and health. I focus much of my time on climbing, so many of my workouts are climbing based in hopes of improving my climbing abilities. Living a healthy lifestyle is something important to me, I enjoy finding new recipes or ways to eat healthy and to stay in shape for not only climbing, but for my own well-being.

UNPLUGGED

What does unplugged mean to you?
Unplugging to me means making an effort to stay off your phone and other forms of technology to make more time for other activities.

How or why do you unplug?
One of the ways I unplug is to intentionally leave my phone at home or in the car when I go somewhere so the temptation of being on it isn't there.

Why is unplugging important?
It is important to unplug because it gives our mind and eyes a break from the harmful effects of always being on your phone.
