Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of
achieving full potential. How do you actively pursue your wellness?
I actively pursue wellness by making sure that I incorporate some
sort of movement into my day, taking breaks from staring at my
computer screen and making sure that I schedule myself a little bit of
free time each week.
What do you do to take care of yourself when you are feeling
stressed or overwhelmed?
This pandemic has really put into perspective for me how
important it is to take care of your mental health in addition to your
physical health. When I notice that I'm starting to feel stressed or
overwhelmed I like to go outside and take a walk. Physical activity
and fresh air always help get me back on track!
What motivates you to be well and stay healthy?
I have worked with chronic disease patients for several years now
and watching them overcome the barriers that they have faced in terms
of health keeps me motivated! I need to make sure that I am in good
health so that I can continue to care for and encourage them.
