Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of
achieving full potential. How do you actively pursue your wellness?
When I create my calendar for each month, I pay attention to the
weeks that are busier with group projects, due dates, extra work
shifts, and personal commitments. I try to structure my time, so I can
plan ahead for self-care and know when I need to say "no" to
new requests from others. It helps me honor my own boundaries and
prioritize my well-being.
What do you do to take care of yourself when you are feeling
stressed or overwhelmed?
When I am most stressed, a session with my mental health
counselor or massage therapist can be a complete reset for my body
& mind. I feed my soul with watercolor painting, yoga, hiking with
my dog, sewing, swimming, gardening, horseback riding, and quality
time with my friends & family.
What motivates you to be well and stay healthy?
I have a lifetime goal to traveling to all of the 50 states and 7
continents. Staying in tune up with my health keeps this dream alive!
