GR Urban League
"We walked the 2020 Virtual 5K and used it as a way to give back to our community! We were able to give out COVID resource bags we prepared to over 25 homes in our surrounding community. Each bag had multiple hand sanitizers, a face mask, information on how to reclaim your vote, and Anti-Tobacco information (tobacco is still the number 1 killer in African Americans). This was great opportunity for us to be active and also give back.
Also shout out to the students from GVSU Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc- Iota Epsilon Chapter and GVSU Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. – Nu Theta Chapter who volunteered and helped us with checking in registration.
