Connecting Business with Students
While your business adapts to ever-changing economic challenges and opportunities, students at the Seidman College of Business are diving deep in their learning about business trends and strategies. They bring a fresh perspective to modern business. We are passionate about connecting our students with community businesses, bringing you today's top talent, while providing our students opportunities to bring their skills and education to the table to serve and grow. We offer opportunities for businesses to connect with our students through internships, consulting projects, paid freelance work, and pro bono freelance work.
Internships
Secure the next generation of talent for your internship opportunity! The GVSU Career Center uses Handshake as a powerful online resource, directly connecting GVSU students and alumni to top employers and career resources.

Consulting Projects
Trying to wrap your head around your next big marketing project or budget proposal? Our students are prepared to apply the latest in business theory to real-world problems.
Consulting projects can be of varying lengths, and can be done with one student or a team of students. They will be reviewed on a rolling basis with individuals/teams assigned to projects in response to the needs of sponsoring organizations.
Freelance Work
Looking to add talent to your team without a full-time commitment? Consider freelance work options for assistance with project-based tasks that can be completed in 25 hours or less. Example of past projects include outlining a social media campaign, creating a marketing flyer, creating a video or developing a logo.
- Pro Bono Opportunities: for small companies (fewer than 25 employees) that may lack resources to pay for freelance work
- Paid Work Opportunities: for larger companies with resources to pay students for their skills
