Excellence in a Discipline | Supply Chain Management

What is your favorite Seidman memory?
I do not have one specific favorite memory, however, some of my most cherished memories in Seidman took place during chapter and executive board meetings for Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. I have grown considerably since I initially entered Seidman, and I attribute a significant portion of that growth to this student organization. The learning opportunities, leadership experiences, and lasting friendships have played a pivotal role in my life and career trajectory.

Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many desirable traits of a leader such as innovator, integrity, curiosity and future-minded. How did your experience at Seidman help you develop one or more of these traits?
Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many desirable traits of a leader such as innovator, integrity, curiosity, and future-minded.

How did your experience at Seidman help you develop one or more of these traits?
The courses I’ve taken at Seidman have helped enhance my capacity to think critically and curiously about the present and future. Whether through class discussions, projects, or essays, I was encouraged to think about how our learnings applied to real-world scenarios. Moreover, they challenged me to consider how to utilize my knowledge in future endeavors.

What would you like people in the community to know about Seidman graduates like you?
I would like our community to understand that Seidman graduates walk away with much more than a diploma. As we step into the professional world, we not only bring forth the knowledge from our lectures, but the soft skills we’ve developed and honed through team projects and involvement in student organizations. Arguably, the greatest treasure we take with us as we depart are the connections, lifelong friendships, and memories we will have for years.

What is your career aspiration?
I will be graduating with a degree in both Supply Chain Management and Marketing. I have learned from many professionals that career paths are often neither linear nor predictable. No matter where I am, I aspire to make a positive impact on the people around me. I am not certain where my path will lead, but I am grateful to be starting my career journey with Steelcase because a high priority of mine is to always work for a company that cares about the well-being of its employees, its impact on the environment, and values giving back to the community.

How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?
The education and enriching experiences I have acquired through Seidman have equipped me for a smooth transition into the professional world. One example of what being a Laker for a Lifetime looks like is the alumni who kindly provided their insights and experiences to me during my internship search in my junior year, despite being a stranger. Inspired by their example, I hope to reciprocate support and guidance to fellow Lakers, just as alumni have done for me.
