What is your favorite Seidman memory?
During my time at Seidman, I was involved in ESSU, a student
organization. We planned a road trip to Indianapolis to visit Eli
Lilly’s headquarters. It was an enjoyable and insightful experience
that I shared with my friends.
Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many
desirable traits of a leader such as innovator, integrity, curiosity
and future-minded. How did your experience at Seidman help you
develop one or more of these traits?
While working as an ERP Intern in the MIS department, I was able
to receive close mentorship and support from faculty members. I was
consistently encouraged to innovate and ask questions about why and
how things worked. This experience truly showed me the value of being
curious and driving innovation.
What would you like people in the community to know about
Seidman graduates like you?
Seidman graduates care about more than just bottom-line profit.
They are dedicated to building relationships, creating a culture, and
making a positive impact on every community they're part of. We are
kind, humble, yet eager to face the challenges of tomorrow.
What is your career aspiration?
Upon completing my studies, I will begin a career in tech
consulting this summer at Crowe's Grand Rapids office. Additionally, I
have aspirations to open my own fitness center someday in the West
Michigan area.
How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute
to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?
My experiences at Seidman College of Business taught me the
importance of initiative, diligence, and building relationships. As a
proud Laker, I aim to apply the lessons I've learned to positively
impact the community. Additionally, I hope to give back to GVSU,
recognizing how much being a part of this community has contributed to
my growth and development.
