What is your favorite Seidman memory?
In Professor Hillman's MGT 340, we had several team competitions. They were challenging to prepare for but super fun. Taking the class in a hybrid format also added funny technical difficulties but made for a really cool experience.
Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many
desirable traits of a leader such as innovator, integrity, curiosity
and future-minded. How did your experience at Seidman help you
develop one or more of these traits?
Many of my classes at Seidman applied concepts to the real world
in unique ways. This helped me to be future-minded in recognizing that
the things I learned at Seidman will directly impact so many of my
future decisions as a business professional.
What would you like people in the community to know about
Seidman graduates like you?
We are extremely well rounded not only through our course load at
Seidman but also opportunities through Seidman clubs and programs such
as the Seidman mentorship program. Our opportunities and acquired
skill sets have prepared us for the workforce.
What is your career aspiration?
Following graduation, I am planning to pursue an MBA. My career
goal is to help lead and build other business professionals as a
manager in the business field.
How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute
to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?
I have built strong relationships and connections with other
students and faculty members. I was mentored by a GVSU alum through
the Seidman mentorship program. In the future, I would like to be a
mentor to a Seidman student.
