Excellence in a Discipline | Operations Management

What is your favorite Seidman memory?

My favorite memory is the first day that I walked into class at Seidman. I loved how small the classes were and the access I had to my teachers whenever I had questions. The first day really showed me that I would be comfortable at Seidman.

Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many desirable traits of a leader such as innovator, integrity, curiosity and futureminded. How did your experience at Seidman help you develop one or more of these traits?

Classes at Seidman were amazing at promoting teamwork and integrating that idea into our work. That really helped me develop as a leader because it put me into roles that were outside my comfort zone and made me adapt to different situations.

What would you like people in the community to know about Seidman graduates like you?

Seidman is amazing at creating people that are well rounded. Almost every class I had here did something to prepare me for the real world and push my limits.

What is your career aspiration?

I would love to be in the Operations Management field working in an environment that isn't fully in the office. I want to be able to have a versatile work day where I can physically see my impact on the company by walking around the warehouse and seeing work processes.

How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?

I think Seidman did a good job of making sure that I think about things not just from a business perspective, but also from a social impact perspective. My classes made sure to push the idea that business isn't all about money, but also the impact you have on your community.
