Excellence in a Discipline - Entrepreneurship
What is your favorite Seidman memory?
My favorite memory is my time in the 77idea lab accelerator
program. My time in the accelerator program gave me many new
opportunities I never thought I’d achieve at a young age. I was able
to develop a business idea and create it from the ground up, which I
am currently still running. From this program, I was able to make
friends and meet mentors I can connect with for a lifetime.
Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many
desirable traits of a leader such as an innovator, integrity,
curiosity, and future-minded. How did your experience at Seidman
help you develop one or more of these traits?
Being at Seidman, I developed many of these traits through my
classes and outside activities. I was able to compete in Pitch
Competitions to showcase venture ideas I had, which allowed me to
practice all these skills.
What would you like people in the community to know about
Seidman graduates like you?
I would like them to know that we are resourceful, have
innovative ideas, and aren’t afraid to make mistakes.
What is your career aspiration?
My career aspiration is to own a recording studio and provide
musicians the opportunity to express themselves through music. I have
been lucky enough to surround myself with music and like-minded
individuals so I want to give opportunities to those who wish to do
the same but need guidance.
How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute
to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?
It has taught me to take risks and be more open and willing to
connect. Every group at Seidman I was a part of started outside of my
comfort zone. But it led me to opportunities to help others, which is
something I want to continue.
