Professional Journey Quick Facts:
- I started an internship at Northwestern Mutual at the end of my freshman year.
- After graduation, I went full time at Northwestern for just under two years.
- I realized I had a passion for working with businesses. Because of this I transitioned into commercial insurance with BHS.
- From there, I decided to pursue a role helping position business owners for success. This has led me to a career in the insurance industry at TriCoast Advisors where we help bold business leaders successfully navigate risk, insurance and employee benefits, and maximize profitability.

The Seidman network provided a number of networking opportunities which in turn presented some great business opportunities.

If you could learn one new professional skill, what would it be and why?
To have a better understanding of the M&A industry. Companies in West Michigan are constantly being swallowed up by PE.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
"Let the silence hang." If you are having a business discussion, or really any kind of discussion, and the other party is thinking about what you just said. Don't interrupt the silence.
