Daniel Giedeman, Department Chair and Professor, GVSU Department of Economics
Dr. Dan Giedeman earned his B.A. in economics and history and his M.S. in economics from Southern Illinois University and his Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. His research and teaching interests include banking, the determinants of long-run economic growth, inequality, and economic history. He also has an interest in comparing the economic systems of different nations and he has been a guest professor in Germany at the University of Konstanz as well as the Duale Hochschule, Baden-Württemberg. Dan is a member of several economic organizations including the American Economic Association. He is the former Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Economic and Business History Society and he is currently the co-editor of Essays in Economic & Business History.
Carrie Kincaid, Senior Vice President, Market Development at Priority Health
Carrie Kincaid is senior vice president of market development at Priority Health. Kincaid establishes and oversees partnerships to support growth within target markets. She leads evaluation of opportunities to expand inorganic growth and the feasibility of operating new lines of business. Kincaid also has responsibility for the health plan innovations team. Previously, Kincaid led the company’s portfolio of individual products, including strategy, product and market development, risk adjustment, sales and operations. Her experience includes risk adjustment work across three markets, implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) products for the individual markets, and market research and competitive intelligence.
Phillip Lear, Director, Data & Analytics North America for Kellanova
Phillip is the Director of Data and Analytics for Kellanova North America. Kellanova was previously the Kellogg Company. Phillip has worked here for 15 years, helping lead the technical components of a spin-off that resulted in the company becoming Kellanova. He holds a BS in Economics and Political Science from GVSU, an MA in Applied Economics from WMU, and an MS in Computer Science and Information Systems from U of M.
John Lutterbach, Manager, Provider Strategy and Solutions, Priority Health
John Luterbach is the Manager of Provider Strategy and Solutions at Priority Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. John graduated with his master�s degree in healthcare administration from Grand Valley State University in 2016. After graduation, John earned a fellowship at Trinity Health, a program designed for young leaders to hone their leadership skills and business acumen. In his current role, John and his team are responsible for partnering with providers across the state to improve patient quality, decrease the cost of care delivered, and simplify processes. Outside of work, John enjoys running, sailing, and hiking with his daughter and wife.

Tim Mroz, Senior Vice President of Community Development, The Right Place, Inc.
Tim Mroz is the Senior Vice President of Community Development for The Right Place. In his current role, he leads The Right Place's place-based strategy and wor, focusing on community development pillars such as smart growth planning, infrastructure & transportation, community leadership & engagement, placemaking, transformational site redevelopment, and more; Tim works to ensure Greater Grand Rapids is a region of choice, where people choose to visit, locate, and prosper.
Past Experience:
Tim joined The Right Place in 2008, bringing with him over 14 years of marketing communications and public relations experience. He served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for over 10 years before transitioning into his role as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, and eventually to his current role of Senior Vice President of Community Development. He has worked for a diverse group of companies ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to locally based non-profit organizations. He has experience working for a wide variety of industries, including office furniture, software development, training services, commercial printing, and photography.

Dr. Leslie Muller, Associate Professor, GVSU Department of Economics
Dr. Muller earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Michigan State University in 2000. She has worked as a senior pension economist for the Social Security Administration in Washington D.C. and taught economics at Calvin and Hope College. Her teaching interests include Health Economics & Public Economics.

Jordan Aldrich, Director, Team Member Engagement, Meijer
Jordan Aldrich is the Director of Team Member Engagement at Meijer, where she has served in various HR roles since 2015. In her current role, she oversees all programs to drive engagement across Recognition & Engagement, Organizational Development, and Team Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives. Before that, she led HR initiatives for Meijer’s corporate campus, including their transition to hybrid work post-pandemic. Jordan is passionate about mentoring and advocating for the advancement of women and young professionals. She serves on the West Michigan Regional Council and as the Programming & Events co-lead of Inforum, a Michigan-based organization. In addition, Jordan was recognized by Progressive Grocer as a 2023 Top Woman in Grocery - Rising Star. She lives in Grand Rapids, MI with her husband David and two daughters.
Bill Mothersell, Professor of Management, GVSU Seidman College of Business
Dr. William M. Mothersell, Professor of Management at the Seidman College of Business. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in business and industrial-organizational psychology, a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in employee relations and political science, a Master of Labor and Industrial Relations with a concentration in human resources and labor relations, and a Ph.D. with a concentration in strategic human resource management, organizational behavior, organizational development, and lean transformation.
Jaideep Motwani, Academic Chair, Management Department, GVSU Seidman College of Business
Dr. Jaideep Motwani is Chairperson and Professor of Management at the Seidman College of Business, Grand Valley State University since 2000. He received his Ph.D. degree in Operations Management from University of North Texas. He has co-authored 15 books and published more than 150 articles in prestigious journals such as Operations Research, IEEE Transactions of Engineering Management, European Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, Omega, Business Horizons, Journal of Operational Research Society, among others. Majority of Dr. Motwani''s publications are in the area of total quality management, lean manufacturing, strategic manufacturing, technology management and global competitiveness. In 2004, Dr. Motwani was ranked among the Top 1% Researcher in the field of Technology Management by the International Association of Management of Technology (IAMOT). He also appears in several Who''s Who in the World publications annually and is the recipient of the Michigan Outstanding Educator''s Award granted by the Governor of Michigan.
Danielle Smith, Chief People Officer, Waséyabek
Danielle Smith is the Waséyabek Development Company, LLC (WDC) Chief People Officer. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Economy and a graduate degree in Human Resources from Michigan State University. Ms. Smith possesses more than 20 years of human resources experience at large and mid-sized companies such as Honeywell, Accenture, ITW, and most recently, Shape Corp., where she led the global human resources function for the Tier 1 automotive supplier.
Danielle’s specialties include organizational development, change management, and human resources process integration. She has served on a variety of community, educational, and industry boards such as the GVSU HR Advisory Board, TalentFirst, and the Employers Association of West Michigan. Outside of work, Danielle loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two high school daughters, as well as competing at the national and world level in triathlons.

In this role, she acts as a strategic partner and change agent, ensuring HR initiatives serve all 17,500 SpartanNash Associates through impactful change management. Before SpartanNash, Cori held various roles in HR leadership at National Heritage Academies. As a human resources professional, her passion is developing teams and coaching others to be consultative business partners. Cori graduated from GVSU Seidman College of Business with a BBA in 2006 and earned her SHRM - Senior Certified Professional certificate in 2019. She acted as a mentor to multiple GVSU students and is currently a board member serving on the GVSU Human Resources Advisory Board.
Dan Wiljanen, Professor of Management, GVSU Seidman College of Business
Dr. Dan Wiljanen is an affiliate faculty of practice member of the Management Department. He has over 30 years of experience in career counseling, leadership assessment, executive and organizational development, team building, management consulting, strategic planning, and human resources administration. For 25 years, Dan served in a variety of job roles for Steelcase, Inc., the world's largest producer of high-quality work environment products and services. Prior to creating Steelcase University and becoming its first Dean, he served as Vice President of Human Resources. Before joining Steelcase, Dan worked for Sundstrand Corporation.
Kee Meng Yeo, Principal, Global MVR
Kee Meng is the Principal of Global MVR, LLC. Prior to this, he was the VP, Global Talent Development, and a member of the Global HR Leadership Team at Amway for over 11 years. Kee Meng is originally from Singapore and has worked with global companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Pharmacia where he also held positions with global responsibilities. As the Principal at Global MVR, he provides strategic HR consulting as well as executive coaching services.

Matt has been with e2open for 12 years with prior experience with UTi/Concentrek. Matt graduated from GVSU in 2006 with a BBA in Business Administration. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, playing music, and spending time with family.

Doyle Hayes, Senior Leader/Consultant, TCI Aluminum, U of M Health West
Doyle Hayes is CEO of dhayesGroup, a management-consulting group that assists clients with business start-ups and/or improvements to existing ones. He is an Entrepreneur/Industrial Engineer who founded and operated a manufacturing concern that supplied components to the auto and furniture industries for 14 years. Additionally, he has founded and continues to operate a staffing organization that acquires and places associates at all levels in various industries. Mr. Hayes is currently a Board member of several university-level groups, healthcare, banking, metropolitan county management, entrepreneurial, and community support boards. A past member of The Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) (Past Chair) and past member of the National Small Business Association (NSBA) and its various committees. Mr. Hayes has reviewed projects for Michigan Preseed and currently for Michigan Preseed 2.0 while assisting several educational institutions with Entrepreneurial events. Doyle has taught at an adjunct level for several Colleges and Universities for the past 33 years and has several active patents. Mr. Hayes has undergraduate degrees in Operations and Economics from Grand Valley State University and an MBA in Operations from Western Michigan University. Doyle has also received Executive Quality and Continuous Improvement training from the University of Tennessee and M.I.T. through an earlier career at General Motors and Diesel Technology. Aman Jhandi currently is Platform Director at Adient. He brings 20 years of experience in automotive, heavy machinery manufacturing, and global business experience. Aman holds a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University, a Masters in Information Technology from Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Punjab Technical University, Punjab India.

Lori earned her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. Her current research focuses on pedagogical issues and curriculum assessment.
Derek Ludwig, Vice President, Chief Procurement Office, Global Supply Management, Steelcase, Inc.
Derek is Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer at Steelcase, Inc. In this role, Derek oversees the Global Supply Management team that is responsible for all Steelcase supply management activities globally, holding the position since 2016. He started with Steelcase in 2000, working in numerous roles both inside and outside of the supply chain function with the company.
For a period of time prior to his current role, Derek left Steelcase to become Vice President, System Supply Chain for Spectrum Health. In this position, he managed the team responsible for all sourcing, warehousing, and inventory management activities for the entire system.
Derek is a graduate of Michigan State University, graduating with a BA in Marketing followed by an MBA with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management and Finance.
Derek has served as Chair of the Seidman Supply Chain Management Advisory Board for Grand Valley State University from 2011 to present.

Dan Barcheski is the founder and Chairman of Axios HR. Axios HR is a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based human resource services firm founded in 1988 employing over 15,000 people.

Andrew Beers joined Modern Woodmen as a Financial Representative in 2014 just after obtaining his BA in Mathematics from Grand Valley State University. In 2016, he made the transition to Managing Partner where he has been leading one of the top Modern Woodmen firms in the Country. Andrew is based out of Grand Rapids with his wife Michelle, and 2 children Kyla and Kaden.
Apollo Braganini II, President of Julian Winery and Distillery
Apollo is the President of St. Julian Winery and Distillery. Founded in 1921, St. Julian is the oldest, largest, and most awarded Winery in Michigan, and a Fourth Generation Family Business. Before rejoining the Winery in 2018, he spent 12 years in Automotive Retail ranging from Sales to General Manager, as well as starting a successful Dealership Consulting Business. He Graduated in 2014 from Davenport University with an ABA.

Cameron Clemens, Portfolio Manager, Northern Trust Wealth Management Department
Cameron Clemens graduated from Grand Valley State University with his bachelors degree in Finance. He is a portfolio manager with the wealth management division at Northern Trust. Cam specializes in managing investment portfolios and creating financial plans for ultra high net worth individuals and institutions. Although Cam has a degree in Finance, sales and marketing are an integral part of his career. He has been involved in the development and expansion of the Sales Program within the Marketing Department.
Tom Granzow, Founder of Granzow Design Strategies
Tom Granzow is the founder of Granzow Design Strategies where he leverages Human Centered Design methods to lead and coach teams to create great user experiences and develop innovative market winning products, services, and business strategies. Prior to his current role, Tom worked for Stryker Medical, Herman Miller, Panasonic, and Sundberg-Ferar. Tom holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art and Design and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Mark Kubik, Department Chair and Affiliate Faculty of Practice, GVSU Department of Marketing
Dr. Mark Kubik is a faculty member and Chair of the Marketing Department at the Seidman College of Business, joining the faculty in 2016. Before his academic career, he worked as a senior finance executive experienced in corporate strategy design, personal production, portfolio management, and acquisitions. Dr. Kubik was recruited to national sales and marketing positions within the United States and is a proven expert skilled at restructuring organizations and implementing cross-functional strategies, resulting in increased revenue. Additionally, he has an extensive background in leading professional teams and developing improved sales revenues. He earned his Doctorate in Business Administration, (D.B.A.) from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and holds an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His research and teaching interests include sales and sales management and he is the faculty advisor to the Professional Sales Association.
Jacob Ledbetter, Divisional Sales Manager, Techtronic Industries
Jacob is the Divisional Sales Manager at Techtronic Industries where he leads the recruiting, training, and development of new Field Sales and Marketing Representatives in our Great Lakes region. He graduated in 2016 with a BS in Marketing and minor in Spanish and joined TTI directly after graduation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and volunteering within his local community.

Gary is a Marketing executive with a breadth of experience across multiple industries and disciplines. A results-oriented servant leader with a proven track record of driving business results, setting strategic direction, and inspiring teams and departments to achieve aggressive goals. He has experience in Sales, Marketing, and Marketing Services disciplines. Gary's marketing experience includes leadership positions for SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare, S.C. Johnson, Kellogg Company, and Amway Corporation. Brand leadership roles for Contac, Tagamet, Glade, Pledge, Ziploc, Oust, Cheez-It, Keebler, Nutrilite, Artistry, XS, and others.
David Plachecki, Retired, Coco-Cola Company
David Plachecki is a marketing leader in the Consumer Packaged Goods/Retailer industry. He has over twenty years of experience driving innovation and delivering successful marketing and brand management solutions within The Coca-Cola Company, Bissell Homecare, Inc., and Daymon Worldwide. David graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Food Marketing and has thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the GVSU Marketing Advisory Board for over 10 years.
William Smith, Owner, CompuCraft Technology Solutions
William Smith, founder and owner of CompuCraft Technology Solutions for 37+ years, is an authorized Apple dealer. He also manages GoWest Properties LLC in real estate. With a BBA in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from GVSU, Bill has taught as a marketing Adjunct Business Professor at GVSU for over 39 years. Recognized for his excellence, he's received awards like the Pew Teaching Excellence Award, Outstanding Marketing Alumni and Outstanding Entrepreneur. Actively involved in the community, Bill serves on nonprofit boards.
Davide Uccello, CFO, Flo's Collection, Uccello's Real Estate Management and Strobel Farms
Davide Uccello is the CFO and Proprietor of Flo's Collection, Uccello's Real Estate Management, & Strobel Farms. He graduated from GVSU in 2013 with a BBA in Supply Chain Management and International Business. Opening his first restaurant as a sophomore in college and grew to 5 locations. He has diversified his investments with real estate development and farming. Davide is a native Italian speaker who was certified as a translator while studying abroad in his homeland of Sicily, Italy. His Passion and drive in his professional life is creating jobs for the community to prosper. He loves to travel and spend time with his wife and son.
Richard Van Belzen, Managing Director, Northpoint Business Advisors
Richard Van Belzen has had a career with corporate experiences at Xerox and Johnson Controls Sensormatic and business consulting with large entities in medical technology, building systems and technologies, and energy and water markets. Van Belzen's focus is on driving corporate performance through accelerated revenue growth.
Much of his other foundational experience has been as a 30-year member of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM), which features B2B best practices insights from academic and business leaders.
He has served on several company and community boards over the past 25 years.
Mike Williams, Strategic Marketing Consultant
Mike is a marketing consultant who helps companies develop strategic marketing plans to achieve growth goals. Mike previously worked at Gordon Food Service as a North American Director of Category Management and at Williams Marketing Services as an Account Executive serving the office furniture and philanthropic sectors. Mike started his career in sales at UFP Industries in Portland, OR. Mike has also been a board member at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and Heartside Ministry.
