About the Program

The Southeast Michigan Ambassadors Program is a collaborative initiative between GVSU faculty/staff, alumni, and supporters whose purpose is to increase the university's brand awareness and community ties in Southeast Michigan.

Our purpose is to recruit GVSU alumni and influencers in Southeast Michigan to create stronger connections for GVSU and support the university's regional admissions, marketing, development, and alumni engagement goals.

  • Elevate GVSU's brand and presence in Southeast Michigan.
  • Engage Southeast Michigan Ambassadors in supporting GVSU in West Michigan.
  • Cultivate partnerships with corporations, businesses, education providers, and local leaders in Southeast Michigan.
  • Increase participation in regional admissions and recruitment activities in Southeast Michigan.
  • Expand community engagement and programming efforts in Southeast Michigan.
  • Broaden GVSU fundraising base and deepen philanthropic support in Southeast Michigan.
