Students are now able to grant proxy access to allow secure payments through Guardian/Family Access.

If someone other than the student typically makes a payment on the student account, we highly recommend they set up proxy access so the proxy can make a payment with their own login and password. 

The student is able to modify authorizations, reset the proxy's password, and set date ranges that the authorizations are active. Please visit our Guardian/Family Access page for more information.

Authorization to Release Financial Information to a Third Party under FERPA
FERPA is a Federal law that stands for the "Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act." This law protects the privacy of the student's education records. Providing this consent allows the Student Accounts Office to discuss the student account with a third party, such as parents. To give consent the student must log on to myBanner, click on the "Messages/Documents" tab, then click on "Student Accounts Office Release of FERPA information."

Students may set up a third party to receive email notifications when there is a balance due on their student account.  You log into myBanner, click on Personal Information, MyProfile, Personal Information, in the Email box click on "Add New". Billing emails are sent to the GV, Family Supporter and Family Supporter 2 email addresses.
