Involvement Spotlights
Jowei Yek

Jowei Yek is currently a senior majoring in advertising and public
relations. He serves as the president of Bringing
Together the World (BTW) and has previously served as the Risk
Manager and Advertising and PR Manager.
Jowei was invited by the Padnos International Center to be a part
of the pioneering team that developed BTW. This decision allowed him
to quickly integrate into the GVSU community. When asked about the
impact the organization has made, he stated, “Because of my
involvement with this diverse community, I have decided to pursue
careers where I will get to advocate inclusion and mindfulness.”
Jowei’s decision to join BTW has helped to shape his life both at
