Outcome N Landmarks
Have excellent access to resources that provide an academic success
focus for students living on campus.
Objective 4
Students living on campus will have access to academic resources, within
their living environment, that will aid in their academic success.
Measure 1
2020 Status
Achieved
Each measure demonstrates the on campus data is more positive than for
those living off campus. HRL strives to provide an on campus living
experience that has educational value and connection to GVSU as a whole.
There is a concentrated effort in working with first-year students to
get them to their second year and this data recognizes the difference
living on campus has (on-85.8% return to SY and off-72% do). These
measures can be connected to the enhanced experiences that our staff
provide to students living on campus, including the connections that the
students have with RA (peer mentors), staff and faculty at the university.

Measure 1
2020 Status
Not Yet Achieved
We continue to meet 100% of the requests we receive with placements. The
limited information that we can look at is our requests from the
2018-2019 year and comparative information that we have to the
2019-2020. We have seen a double in the requests for GIH to this point.
We believe that this number will continue to grow and our system is set
up to be able to approve and place all requests.

As this is a new measurement for HRL we don’t have a large amount of
information to assess. The limited information that we can look at is
