Students participating in a Exchange or Provider program will either register for courses that have been pre-approved or will go through a course equivalency process. This process involves having courses evaluated and approved by the appropriate department. Courses listed under the pre-approved course equivalency lists have already been approved and therefore will not require a signature from the department.

Course not listed under pre-approved course equivalencies? If the course you wish to take abroad is not listed below, you will need to fill out a Departmental Course Approval Form. For more directions on how to get courses approved, please visit the Academic Guide and click on your program type.

PLEASE NOTE FOR THE PRE-APPROVED COURSE EQUIVALENCIES : 

• Students participating in a Faculty-led program do NOT need to review these courses. They will register for GVSU courses. 
• The courses listed are not the only courses offered through each study abroad program.
• Courses are not necessarily offered every semester.
• These course equivalency lists are NOT relevant to students participating in a GVSU faculty-led program.
