Reverse Transfer Your Degree
Ready to transfer before you finish your associate's degree? Our Reverse Transfer program can help you get all the credentials you'll need to increase your opportunities in the workforce by simultaneously earning your associate's degree while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at GVSU.
How to Send a Transcript to GVSU
To send your community college transcript to GVSU, you submit a request through your community college. Your transcript has to be official and come directly from your high school, community college, or university. You will need to send a transcript for each individual school you've attended, even if you've had credits accepted at other schools.
Incoming Transfer Merit Scholarships 2026-2027
Application Requirements
Consideration for scholarships are based on a complete admissions application submitted by March 1st for spring/summer admission, July 1st for fall admission and November 1st for winter admission (unless otherwise noted). Documents received after the deadline will not be used for scholarship consideration.
Concurrent Enrollment
Taking classes at both GVSU and your community college?
Concurrent enrollment is a program for students taking classes at both GVSU and an approved community college during the same semester. By filling out the concurrent enrollment form and submitting it to GVSU's Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, you are notifying FAFSA that you are earning credits at both institutions and need your financial aid package to calculate for both. All of your combined financial aid will be sent directly to GVSU. Once GVSU applies the aid to your account, any remaining refund money will be released to you, and you will use those funds to pay your community college tuition bills. Because you cannot receive separate aid from two schools at once, this form is required to make that single payout happen.
