Director
Jullianie Vazquez currently serves as the interim director for GVSU TRIO Upward Bound Math Science -Wyoming. Jullianie recieved her graduate deegree in Education Leadership in 2019 and has been Grand Valley ever since. Jullianie has work in several positions within TRIO and is excited for this new opportunity to serve more students in West Michigan. Jullianie was born in Puerto Rico and English is her second language. Jullianie comments that being bilingual (Spanish & English) has help her ability to work with each demographic. Jullianie is most excited to create less challenging pathways for all students to reach higher education.

Pilar Martinez Ramirez

Program Coordinator
Pilar Martinez currently serves as the Program Coordinator for TRIO Upward Bound Math Science - Wyoming. She received her Bachelor of Art in Criminal Justice in 2022 at Grand Valley State University. Pilar is both a first-generation high school and college graduate. She is a 2018 Upward Bound Grand Rapids alum. Being able to give back to her community and help the future generations means a lot to her. Being fluent in both English and Spanish has helped her connect with the community and make them feel heard and seen. She sees herself in the students and is passionate about helping them find success.
