Student Employment

The department encourages all chemistry majors to gain practical experience by working for the Chemistry Department as stockroom staff, office staff and tutors.

Stockroom Worker Application

Stockroom Employment - If you are interested in working in the stockroom, fill out the application above and email it or deliver to Michelle DeWitt in the Chemistry Department ([email protected] or PAD 313)

Office Worker Application

Chemistry Office Employment - If you are interested in working in the department office, fill out the application above and email it or deliver to Jennifer Glaab in the Chemistry Department  ([email protected] or PAD 312)

Tutor Application

The Chemistry Success Center hires walk-in student tutors for 100- and 200- level chemistry courses.  Preference is given to students who have completed at least CHM 241 or 245.  To apply for a position, fill out the online application above, request a recommendation from a professor, and contact Sarah Clark  ([email protected]) to set up an interview.

Tutor Application

The GVSU Tutoring Center hires student tutors for all chemistry courses.  Tutors meet with small groups of students enrolled in a specific course for an hour each week.  You can apply to tutor any chemistry course in which you earned a grade of B+ or higher.  To apply for a position, fill out the online application above and request a recommendation from your professor.
