Individual counseling is a process in which a trained counselor helps a student through purposeful conversation in a supportive and understanding atmosphere.
The activity is designed to foster self- exploration and understanding.
A student may seek individual counseling for issues surrounding emotional health, personal identitiy, relationships, sexuality, and academics. Examples of topics brought up in individual counseling include: stress, depression, relationship concerns, organizational skills, calming techniques, anger management and many other topics. |
