GVSU MAT Camryn Lound Clinical Experience Las Vegas Bowl
On December 23, 2023, GVSU MAT student, Camryn Lound, had the opportunity to be on the sidelines assisting the Northwestern University football team at the 2023 Las Vegas Bowl. Camryn chose Northwestern University as her first immersive experience. Students in their second year have the opportunity for two immersive experiences with the requirement to complete at least one. The immersive experience(s) are where our MAT students are engaging with the community, applying what they learn in the classroom by through hands-on experiences under the supervision of the Northwestern University athletic training preceptor. The fall immersive experience runs from August to mid-October. Upon completion of her immersive experience, Camryn clinical site for the rest of the semester was with GVSU men's and women's Basketball Teams. Camryn was invited back by preceptor, John Mucovich, to learn and assist at the Las Vegas Bowl Northwestern Champions sideline.
