GVSU MAT Alex Graham Clinical Experience Hawaiian Bowl
On December 23, 2023, GVSU MAT student, Alex Graham, had the opportunity to be on the sidelines assisting the Costal Carolina University football team at the 2023 Hawaiian Bowl with alumn Andrew Lowe '22. Alex chose Costal Carolina University as her first immersive experience. Students in their second year have the opportunity for two immersive experiences with the requirement to complete at least one. The immersive experience(s) are where our MAT students are engaging with the community, applying what they learn in the classroom through hands-on experiences under the supervision of the Costal Carolina athletic training preceptor. The fall immersive experience runs from August to mid-October. Upon completion of her immersive experience, Alex clinical site for the rest of the semester was with i'move. Alex was invited back by preceptor, Kaitlynn Seymour, to learn and assist at the Costal Carolina Champions sideline.
