CFV 348 - Film Theories

This course will introduce various perspectives on the study of film in order to explore and explain how films generate meaning and pleasure. Students will gain an historical understanding of film, and learn to write in the language of scholarly film criticism. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
