HST 306 - The 'American Century': From the Great Depression to Vietnam
Thematic survey of the United States from the 1930s through the Vietnam War with focus on political, social, cultural, intellectual, and economic trends, in particular the Great Depression, the development of the welfare state, World War II, the Cold War, the civil rights movement, and the tumult of the 1960s. Offered fall semester, odd-numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 206 or junior standing.
