HST 307 - United States in the Age of Globalization
Thematic survey of the United States since the Vietnam War, with focus on political, social, cultural, intellectual, and economic trends. Particularly the impact of globalization and the end of the Cold War, industrial and technological change, multiculturalism, consumerism and the mass media, and the ascendancy of conservatism. Offered winter semester of even numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 206 or junior standing.
