CECI Give Back Fall Event at Public Thread

In November, the GVSU - College of Education and Community Innovation (CECI) held its annual “Give Back” event at Public Thread. A group of over 25 volunteers from across CECI, including Deans Soman and Hoffman, helped the staff from Public Thread prepare and organize their production space after their recent move.
Public Thread is a nonprofit business that upcycles sustainably sourced textiles into various innovative and stylish products ranging from purses and tote bags to laptop and tablet sleeves. Its mission is to promote sustainable production, protect our environment, and provide living wages to employees representing a diverse cross-section of West Michigan communities.
