The GVSU Swim Club kicked off 2023 by heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan to compete at the MSC Winter Invitational on January 14th. Smiles were had by all as we returned to the competition pool after winter break. A team record was set in the Men’s 200 Breaststroke by Dom Ferracciolo with a time of 2:21.46. Congratulations are also due for Lauren Murphy and Rachel Patterson who swam National qualifying times. Murphy qualified in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 35.40. Patterson qualified in both the 50 Freestyle ( 27.04) and 100 Backstroke (1:08.80). The GVSU Swim Club looks forward to their next meet at Northwestern University on Febuary 4th.
