GVSU Hockey Announces Date for Alumni Night

The GVSU Men’s Hockey program is excited to announce the first annual Alumni Night to take place on January 15th when the Lakers play host to the Calvin Knights. Puck drop is set for 8pm at Griff’s Georgetown. The evening will be a recognition of all of our past alumni but will feature a special group of players who won the National Title back in 2011. That was originally slated to happen last season before COVID brought everything to a stand still. It has been 10 years since that group won their championship and it’s the perfect time to bring them back and pay tribute to that accomplishment.
“We have some surprises I think they are really going to enjoy” said Head Coach Carl Trosien. “We have had a lot of changes here in the past few years. With this being our inaugural season at the Division 1 level it just felt like the right time to reach out and do this for them. They built the foundation and the tradition that is GVSU Hockey”.
A schedule of activities will be available at a later date. It’s going to be a great night as we look forward to welcoming back the past and saying Thank You. Mark your calendars as this is one night you won’t want to miss.
