ESPRIT International Agreements
Overview
This page serves to lay out the agreement between the Grand Valley State University College of Computing and L'Ecole Superieur Privee D'Ingenierie et De Technologies (ESPRIT). These exchanges will help both institutions learn from each other and continue to grow their programs.
Agreements
Your program and current progress in it will determine which process will be best for you:
- 3 + 1 + 1 (combined B.S./M.S.) (3 undergraduate years at ESPRIT, 1 undergraduate year at GVSU, 1 graduate year at GVSU)
- 4 + 1 + 1 (combined B.S./M.S.) (4 undergraduate years at ESPRIT, 1 undergraduate year at GVSU, 1 graduate year at GVSU)
- 5 + 1 (Master's degree in the US only) (5 undergraduate years at ESPRIT, 1 graduate year at GVSU)
Admission - 3 + 1 + 1 or 4 + 1 + 1
- Complete the International Student Interest Form
- Begin the undergraduate application: https://apply.gvsu.edu/portal/ug_app
- While program requirements must still be met, we take a holistic view of each application.
- English proficiency requirement is waived
- Official transcripts
- If your transcripts are not in English, then you will need to submit an English-translated transcript along with the original transcript. Both documents need to be emailed by your institution to [email protected].

- Begin the graduate application: https://apply.gvsu.edu/portal/gr_app
- While program requirements must still be met, we take a holistic view of each application.

- Personal statement (Applied Computer Science requires a video link)

After Admittance
- Admitted undergraduate students will work with an advisor to build a plan of study
- Admitted graduate students will work work with an advisor and/or their graduate program director to build a plan of study
- Indicate your interest in a Graduate Assistantship by completing the form. Decisions are made in March for the coming academic year.

Yes! You will receive your bachelor's degree from GVSU after your first year in the U.S., and a master's degree after your second year.
Per the agreement made between GVSU and ESPRIT, any admitted student will get a scholarship letter confirming in-state tuition, which can be used as part of the financial documents needed to obtain an I-20.

Definitely! We have full-time staff dedicated to finding internships and providing career development. GVSU's International Student Services office is an excellent support as well.
We have worked closely with area employers to find what they are looking for from our graduates, and we are establishing internship sites with them. Our internship partner coordinator, Chris Babbitt, is a great contact for more information.
Yes! We have regular social and informational events at the College of Computing, and we have many student organizations.
