Since its founding earlier this year, the College of Computing at GVSU has been dedicated to building strong partnerships industry and the community. We pride ourselves on always questioning the status quo and innovating to better serve our students. Through initiatives to modernize our curriculum and engage in cutting-edge research, we are committed to finding new ways to lead in the field of computing.
In July 2024, we began developing a five-year strategic plan for the new College of Computing, aligned with the university’s Reach Higher 2025 vision. This plan will guide our efforts in three key areas, identified by our faculty, staff, and the community:
- Enhancing Student Success from Enrollment to Employment and Beyond
- Inspire Relevant Research, Impactful Innovation, and Mutually Beneficial Partnerships with the Community
- Accelerate and Expand the Success of Faculty and Staff
The time has come for Computing Lakers everywhere to surpass expectations, to elevate our commitment to excellence, and to witness the realization of our college’s transformative vision. On December 6th, 2024, we will unveil the ambitious future of the College of Computing – an inspiring example of how we, as Computing Lakers, always strive to Reach Higher.
