Graduate Teaching Assistantship Information
In the College of Computing, GAs are awarded to exceptional students to support their academic career and allow students the opportunity to support faculty teaching, faculty research, and/or administrative tasks. Most GAs are awarded in the Winter semester (late March/early April) and cover one academic year, with a performance review at the end of the Fall semester.
If you are interested in being considered for a Computing GA position you should complete our web form. Only admitted students are eligible (incoming students do not have to be enrolled at the time they apply and can accept a GAship before arriving. Once at GVSU, a student must be enrolled when to begin their GAship).
All Computing GAs must attend a mandatory orientation provided by the Graduate School. Furthermore, all must attend a mandatory orientation provided by the College of Computing. The slides from the last orientation are available for those interested in more details.
Other websites to check are https://www.myworkday.com/gvsu/ and https://www.gvsu.edu/gs/graduate-assistant-job-openings-25.htm. Other departments and colleges at Grand Valley will have their own positions listed to which you can apply.
