Python Wave Program
The Python Wave Program was developed to help first-year Computing students feel welcomed and supported, and to help connect them with fellow computing students from the very beginning of their education. This program focuses on supporting students in CIS 160, 162, 163, and 164.
Python Wave has a new location in A-1-101 Mackinac Hall.
These three classes set the foundation for our programs and mastering the topics they cover is vital to being able to build upon these skills, and to finding overall success in computing.
Rather than break students up by class, groups are formed based on the concepts students are struggling with each week, creating a collaborative effort of helping each other, and learning together, with our Student Ambassadors leading the way.
The Python Wave Program runs from the second week of classes through the run of every semester. The program meets every Tuesday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM and Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in MAK D-2-123.
