Kenneth R. Venderbush Student Leadership Award
The Venderbush Award recognizes one senior who has demonstrated an exceptional blend of academic achievement and leadership efficacy while making significant contributions to the campus community. This recognition is given to only one student per year.
Candidate Criteria:
- Must be a senior enrolled in the Fall and/or Winter semester;
- Must demonstrate a significant contribution to the campus community through their involvement;
- Must excel academically and show that they have been able to balance coursework with extracurricular involvement; and
- Must be sponsored by a GVSU faculty/staff member.
Following the nomination process, students will be contacted to complete the Nominee Response Form. The award recipient will receive an invitation to a Student Awards celebration in March.
The nomination form can be submitted by the student candidate or by the faculty/staff sponsor. This form requires the following nominee information: First/Last Name, Email, Phone Number, G-Number, and Major. One faculty/staff sponsor letter of support (PDF), describing the involvement and leadership experience as stated in the award description, must be uploaded. Following the nomination process, students will be contacted to complete the Nominee Response Form.
