Thomas M. Seykora Award for Outstanding Contribution

The Seykora Award recognizes seniors who, through their involvement, have made significant contributions to the GVSU campus community.

Candidate Criteria:

  1. Must be a senior enrolled Fall and/or Winter Semester;
  2. Must be in good academic standing; and
  3. Must demonstrate a significant contribution to the University through their involvement; and
  4. Must be sponsored by a GVSU faculty/staff member.

Following the nomination process, students will be contacted to complete the Nominee Response Form. Award recipients will receive an invitation to a Student Awards celebration in March.

The nomination form can be submitted by the student candidate or by the faculty/staff sponsor. This form requires the following nominee information: First/Last Name, Email, Phone Number, G-Number, and Major. One faculty/staff sponsor letter of support (PDF), describing the involvement and leadership experience as stated in the award description, must be uploaded. Following the nomination process, students will be contacted to complete the Nominee Response Form.

The Thomas M. Seykora Award applications are reviewed by a committee of faculty and staff. The award recipients will receive an invitation to a Student Awards celebration in March.
