Grand Valley Student Reporting Labs (GVSRL)

An exciting pilot program, the Grand Valley Student Reporting Labs (GVSRL) seeks to empower West Michigan youth by giving them the tools to tell and share their stories through video journalism. Using the PBS Newshour’s Student Reporting Lab model, GVSRL innovates by adding university faculty, staff and students to support local schools. Ultimately, students will be producing content centered on their perspectives and creating content for local and national PBS and NPR distribution.

GVSRL is a partnership between WGVU Public Media and GVSU’s College of Education and Community Innovation, Charter Schools Office, and School of Communications.
