Climate Change, the Public Environmental Humanities, and the New Liberal Education

This event is a collaboration between GVSU and four other public universities—Oakland University (MI), University of Illinois Chicago, West Chester University (PA), and Florida State University—to promote the interdisciplinary environmental humanities (EH). EH is a global academic movement that works to bridge research, scholarship, and teaching in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to create awareness and mobilize action on urgent anthropogenic environmental crises, like climate change and the sixth extinction.
