Talk Back Tuesday: Food Justice

Join us for monthly discussions, surrounding current events and topics through different levels of intersectionality. Held every third Tuesday of the month, this event is Integrative Learning (INT) 100/201 approved. This months topic is Food Justice in the honor of Hunger Action Month. Post pandemic, Replenish Basic Needs Center GVSU's on campus food resource and essentials has experienced an uptick in usage by our students . In August 2022 alone, Replenish served 139 individuals and 24 children.

"Human beings are not built in silence, but in word, in work, in action-reflection (Freire, 2018) .” In the importance of dialogue of the oppressed and leaders working together to fight for liberation through verbalism and activism.
