Big win propels Grand Valley into women's Final Four

Grand Valley took another step toward its first Division II women’s basketball national championship in 16 seasons.
The Lakers beat Missouri Western, 67-44, in the national quarterfinals on March 21 in Birmingham, Alabama, to advance to the Final Four.
The Lakers face Glenville State in the national semifinal on March 23.
Grand Valley’s No. 1-ranked defense forced Missouri Western into 20 turnovers, which helped it build a lead as large as 25 points.
Four Lakers finished in double figures scoring with Emily Spitzley leading the way with 20 points. Hannah Kulas, Ellie Droste and Hadley Miller each had 10 points as well.
