Deb joined GVSU in November of 2019 as the Director of Staff Relations and quickly created strong campus partnerships, allowing her to take on more responsibility. She oversees labor and employee relations at the university, which includes leading collective bargaining negotiations for all university labor contracts.

Deb has extensive experience in human resources, including twenty years working and leading in higher education human resources. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from MSU in Education and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from Western Michigan University. When Deb isn’t cheering on the Lakers, she loves spending time with her dogs, boating, and traveling to tropical locations.
