Emily McGavin serves as the Benefits and Wellness Assistant on the HR Total Rewards team, acting as a vital liaison between GVSU and our insurance vendors. She supports the benefits manager in a variety of programs, including flexible spending accounts, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, retirement planning, and wellness initiatives. Additionally, Emily coordinates benefits orientations for new eligible employees and assists with payroll processing.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in human capital and society from Michigan State University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating on Brooks Lake, and relaxing with a good book and cup of tea.
