As the Senior HRIS Analyst, John's main responsibilities include working with campus partners to facilitate the university-wide Workday implementation, partnering with IT to fulfill technology needs and solutions for the HR team, and administering exceptions for employment statuses based on instances such as leaves, sabbaticals, and phased retirement. John also oversees all employee data and reporting, meaning he is responsible for disseminating annual employee data for entities such as the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the salary book, as well as working with various departments and Dean's offices to manage scheduled employee reports and create other data reports as needed.

John has a bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy from Albion College, and a Technical Communication certification from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the Staff Advisor to GVSU’s Improv Comedy Team, Subject to Change.
