Description

The Nonprofit Administrative Intern will play a vital role in supporting our special events, logistics, and membership initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and contribute to meaningful projects. 

Assist with general office tasks, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.

Assist with the development of mailing and media 

Assist with answering phones

Collaborate on new ideas

Develop and design materials and organize existing materials 

Help update the Giving Tree 

Maintain organized records related to memberships, and projects.

Help promote The Sweet House Foundation's (SHF)  mission, which is to preserve, maintain, and share the historic home of Martin Sweet located  at 254 Fulton St. E.  The Foundation is dedicated to educating the public about the extensive contributions of Martin Sweet in the development of early Grand Rapids and the historical accomplishments of subsequent occupants of the house.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills

Microsoft Office skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional attitude

Business casual and business attire

Able to work days

Ability to follow directions and stay on task

A passion for history, preservation, and community engagement.
