Past Events
The Making Waves Initiative has been involved in many events from partnerships with other organizations to more centralized projects. From the beginning, the initiative organized Big Splash Week 2019, and from there we have continued to provide students, faculty, and the community opportunities to get out and experience more in the hopes of bringing water to the forefront of people's learning and lives.

Kayaking at the Confluence
As a part of Big Splash Week 2019, one event brought Laker's kayaking at the Confluence at the Grand Ravines Park. Participants were encouraged to bike or hike to the park to join Making Waves leaders as well as other GVSU leaders, including President Philomena Mantella and Provost Maria Cimitile, for kayaking, food, and fun.
