What is the MTI to Higher Education program?

The MTI to Higher Education program is a program that offers anyone holding a MIOSHA Training Institute Level 2 Safety and Health Management Systems certificate the ability to earn college credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Management at GVSU. Professionals holding this level of certificate will be able to earn up to 12 credits towards the ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Grand Valley State University through the MIOSHA MTI to Higher Education Program.

MTI to Higher Education participants have the ability to receive credit for the below courses:

  • OSH 300 - Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health
  • OSH 310 - Hazard Control
  • OSH 400 - Critical Incident Analysis
  • OSH 414 - Environmental Safety and Health Regulations

These courses count towards the completion of the OSH Core courses and pre-requisites. You can find the full list of OSH Courses here.
