Pre-Arrival Info

Move-in Information

Move-in will take place from 12:00 - 3:00pm on Sunday, June 23rd.

There will be no specific times for students to move-in, so please arrive at whatever time works best for you during that 12:00 - 3:00pm timeframe. When arriving to campus on Sunday, please enter through our Lake Michigan Drive entrance and proceed through the traffic light to turn into Lot D on the left hand side of the road. Our team will then direct you to wait in line for the next available check in location. There will be directional signs placed along the drive to help guide you.

Once in Lot D, there will be a waiting period in your vehicle to allow each student to be able to pull up directly in front of the building and easily unload belongings. Students will need their student ID to check-in and receive their room key so be sure to have this handy and not packed away as you arrive to campus. Check-in tables will be located in the lobby of the building the student is living in for the summer.

We ask that once all of the belongings are unloaded from your vehicle, that the vehicle is moved through the rest of the move in path to our parking lot. This will help us to keep the line moving and check each student with efficiency. Thank you in advance for your attention to this request.

As part of move-in day, we will kick off the program with a Welcome Ceremony on Sunday, June 23rd from 5:00pm – 6:30pm in the Haas Performing Arts Center, Louis Armstrong Theatre. A meal will be provided at the conclusion of the ceremony. Students are welcome to bring up to two parents/supporters with you to this opening event. ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND!

Remember you must bring your student ID to move-in! If you have not yet received your student ID our staff will work with you to procure one.

Click here for a packing list- Students are encouraged to bring a fan. Standard microwaves and mini-fridges are allowed but are restricted to ONE per room
