PCEC Faculty & Student Awarded Michigan Space Grant Consortium Grants

Multiple faculty and one student in the GVSU Padnos College of Engineering & Computing (PCEC) received grant awards from the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) through the Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC) at the University of Michigan. Please join us in congratulating them on this exciting achievement!

PCEC MSGC Award Recipients:

  • School of Computing student, Benjamin Jenkins, received an undergraduate fellowship to work with Dr. Christian Trefftz and Dr. Byron DeVries on ‘Revisiting the Facility Location Problem with Densities.’
  • School of Computing professor, Dr. Erik Fredericks, received funding for his ‘Minimizing Power Consumption of Run-Time Software Testing Strategies in Cyber-Physical Systems’ project.
  • School of Engineering professor, Dr. Sanjivan Manoharan, received funding in support of the ‘GV Moon Miners: Lunar Coring Device for Microgravity Challenge’ project.
  • PCEC Outreach Coordinator, Sara Maas, received funding for the 2021 Science, Technology, and Engineering Preview Summer (STEPS) Camp.
