Michigan Space Grant Consortium Awards Support PCEC Projects and Students

We are beyond grateful to the Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC), which has awarded several grants in support of PCEC Projects and Students.

  • Computing student, Elijah Smith, (with faculty mentors Dr. Byron DeVries and Dr. Christian Trefftz) received an undergraduate fellowship to support his work on "A Divide-and-Conquer Algorithm for Computing Voronoi Diagrams."
  • Engineering student, Chase Tuttle, (with faculty mentor Dr. Brian Krug) received an undergraduate fellowship to support his work on "Sensing Properties of a New Magnetic Nanoparticle Based Gyroscope."
  • PCEC Outreach Coordinator, Sara Maas, received funding in support of the 2020 Science, Technology, and Engineering Preview Summer (STEPS) Camp.
  • Engineering professor, Dr. Sanjivan Manoharan, received funding to support "Project Space Rocks."
