About Dean Ogundipe

Dean, Adebayo Ogundipe, Ph.D.
I am delighted to welcome you to the Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering (PCE) at Grand Valley State University. It is a distinct honor to serve as the inaugural dean and lead the renewed vision for PCE.
We are a community of scholars who nurture curiosity and creativity by pushing the boundaries of human ingenuity through innovative learning. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are designed to develop professionals who will influence society and produce real-world solutions. We are especially proud of the work-based learning opportunities integrated into each of our programs.
Contemporary challenges demand professionals who can work comfortably within multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary contexts to innovate responsibly. We rise to this challenge through proactive and responsive orientations to the needs of our students and the communities where their careers will thrive. We are boldly exploring new directions with strategic partners and a vision of transformative, innovative, and exemplary engineering education.
We fully embrace best practices in modern engineering education to address the unique needs of each student. Through bold and meaningful collaborations, we leverage our excellence in learning, scholarship, and engagement to benefit our regional, national, and global communities. We remain committed to our industry partners, without whom we could not effectively fulfill our mission.
PCE is the home of noble professions. I bring my broad record of achievements and a clear sense of purpose and commitment to actualizing our collective vision.
I invite you to join us, work with us, and support us.
